About NMCT

NMCT is working for underserved needy people of the society like tribal women, children, HIV infected and affected, transgender, migrants, old women etc. All come under the below poverty category and were largely affected by the sudden closure and lockdown relating to the pandemic. NMCT raised funds from corporates and provided ration at their doorsteps. Community kitchen and home-schooling are other measures undertaken to combat the situation.

With regard to the working of our organization, direct planning, monitoring and review could not be practically implemented. All of the above activities were accomplished virtually through phone, WhatsApp call and Zoom meetings. Meetings with stakeholders also happened virtually.

The Approach

1. Our staff team with regard to the identification of the neediest beneficiaries did a good need assessment.
2. The activities were implemented through our field staff with special permission of the District Collector. NMCT raised funds for the above through their GOODWILL from the corporate. During the complete lockdown period, Grocery Aid Kits were delivered at the beneficiary’s proximity.
