The Fellows represent diverse geographies and educational domains, but are connected by their common drive to work towards the improvement of school education in India. Upcoming Training, Workshops, and Events

Foundations of Education | Digantar |

This is a well-known and insightful course on the foundational philosophy and practice of education offered by Digantar, Jaipur. Digantar has seen many decades of foundational work in education that is now being shared in this flagship course. The course, which will be offered in Hindi in the coming year, challenges the participants to examine the roots of daily classroom practice in a sweeping introduction to a range of influential ideas in modern education history. The learning process is supported by lectures, regular assignments, and small group discussions towards a comprehensive introduction to the key concepts. Please register your interest, the dates of the workshops are being confirmed.

Introduction to Libraries Workshop | Bookworm Library |

Bookworm Library conducts this workshop on location in the library in Panjim, Goa. Bookworm is among the pioneering organizations working in the area of children and libraries. The library has over the years grown to house one of the largest collections of children’s books in the country and is accessed by thousands of children regularly. The team’s expertise in interacting with the children over many years is now shared with the broader network of children’s librarians in professional development courses and workshops.

This workshop is an introductory one, giving a broad introduction to libraries’ philosophy and practice in a two-parts spread over a few months and is offered on location, with a field component in the partner’s location in between the two parts. Please register your interest, the dates of the workshops are being confirmed.

Jodo Gyan Math Education | Jodo Gyan |

Jodo Gyan is a Delhi-based organization with broad interests in education and has been working in education for a few decades, with a special focus on Mathematics education. This workshop will introduce participants to innovative pedagogies to make Mathematics accessible, involved, and fun to learn. The workshop also supports the participants in contextualizing their learning in their organizations through assignments and follow-up contact. Please register your interest, the dates of the workshops are being confirmed.

Philosophy and Practice of an Arts-based Curriculum | Ed Sparks Collective |

The Ed Sparks Collective offers a two-part online workshop for Wipro Foundation partners on the philosophy and practice of an Arts-based curriculum. The focus here is for the workshop participant, who is often a facilitator with children, to immerse themselves in art and discover their relationship to it, and through this process, discuss the impact and possibilities of working with children and art, and the possibility of making art an integral part of the curriculum. The two parts of the workshop are separated by a few months where there is continued engagement with the participants through projects and an online forum. Please register your interest, the dates of the workshops are being confirmed.
